At the Group Accounting team, we are responsible for the Group consolidation and legal reporting process. We work in close collaboration with all our companies and Business Controllers around the world, as well as with the Group Controlling team. As our new Senior Group Accountant, with finance controlling responsibilities, you will hold a crucial position within our Group wide accounting and reporting process. You will be based in our office in Sickla, Stockholm, and report to the Manager Group Accounting.
Din utmaning:
The largest challenge in this senior role will be to provide training to the Business Controllers in our Group Companies around the world. Also, you will develop and improve both reporting routines and processes, which you will help implement in the organization. As this position is a vital part of furthering the development of Atlas Copco´ s financial reporting, you will be involved in many different areas of our Group activities. For instance you will work actively with training financial staff in financial reporting within the group. And you will get the chance to provide your accounting expertise in acquisition projects. You, along with all other team members, will also shoulder responsibilities for certain accounting processes and provide support to operations in advanced accounting issues. Equally important is your collaboration with the Group Controlling team. And in this part of your role, you will assist in consolidating and report performance of the Atlas Copco legal entities on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis together with your team colleagues and other stakeholders. Given your seniority, good accounting knowledge in financial instruments and tax accounting is a matter of course.
As Senior Group Accountant, you need to take active part in working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) within the Group. You will also be expected to both lead and take part in special projects within our accounting and financial controlling areas. So, are you ready to act as our accounting specialist and use your accumulated expertise to the full?
Din bakgrund:
To qualify for this position, you need an M.Sc. or a B.Sc. in Business Administration, preferably specializing in Group Accounting, Financial Controlling or Auditing. You also need no less than five to ten years´ professional experience. Experience from acquisition accounting for acquisitions, in-depth knowledge of IFRS and the ability to prepare consolidated accounts are other prerequisites for this role. As an experienced Accounting Specialist, you are more than familiar with MS Excel and are used to working in a Group reporting system, such as SAP BPC. We are an international Group, which calls for excellent skills in written and spoken English. Any other languages will, naturally, be advantageous. On a more personal level, you are a team player with a positive mindset. You combine this with good analytical skills and the ability to identify and drive improvements on a continuous basis.
