The Risk Control unit is part of the Risk Management organization and responsible for co-ordinating and securing the overall risk management in If Group. The Risk Management department is headed by the Chief Risk Officer. Risk Control´s assignment is to ensure risk control and to secure the risk reporting throughout If. Risk Control is responsible for independent analysis of the organization´s risks as well as advises and monitors the business and corporate functions regarding risk control issues. In addition, Risk Control is also responsible for follow up and co-ordination of internal control throughout If.

The job gives a fantastic insight into insurance business from a diverse perspective: from IfÂ’s risk tolerance and solvency planning to underwriting, claims, technical provisions and reinsurance. Our preference is that you would be able to take on the responsibility for insurance risk control and bring in additional analytical/actuarial competence to the team.
We are now on the behalf of our client seeking an Insurance Risk Manager with placement in Stockholm.

Din utmaning:

• Senior independent risk analysis and quarterly reporting of insurance risks to the If Risk Control Committee and to the Board of Directors
• Take an important part in the development of risk control activities for insurance risks
• Identify and suggest risk assessment and reporting improvements for insurance risks
• Lead  and perform exiting special projects and ad hoc activities within the Risk Control unit
• Have an unique overview of If´s total insurance operations and possibilities to influence the future development of the risk management
  

Din bakgrund:

• University degree preferably within mathematics or mathematical statistics
• Good knowledge of insurance business, from areas such as underwriting, risk, product controlling or reinsurance
• You are analytical, process oriented and have a structured work approach
• You are pedagogical and an excellent communicator
• Fluent in English and Swedish (both verbally and in writing)
